Roobedo Repair Cafe – Wed 30th March, 2016

20150626_141119Roobedo FREE Repair Cafe – in partnership with Zero Waste Highland Perthshire

Wednesday 30th March 2016, 7-9pm

Zero waste Scotland is a government funded initiative trying to limit the amount of waste we create and divert it from landfill.  They have created a series of Repair Cafe’s and I thought I’d do my bit, and team up with the lovely Cafe Calluna and run a FREE evening of sewing fun by helping you repair/alter/update/repurpose your favourite clothes and make a Roobedo style zippy purse from tweed scraps if there’s time too!

Cafe Calluna is a lovely independent Pitlochry Cafe selling GlenLyon coffee, Homemade soups and Baking, Panini, Wraps & Sarnies, Italian Pizza & Foccaccia, locally made macaroons and artwork (that’s where Roobedo fits in!)

Cafe Calluna
90 Atholl Road (The main street)
PH16 5BL

I’m hoping this might be the start of many – let me know if you can come or if you’d be up for coming in the future!

Bring along your sewing machine if you have one, any clothing or on-going sewing projects you’d like to work on and a basic sewing kit would be helpful too!

Booking is advisable (call me on 0781 470 4256 / email but places may be available on the night.

Wednesday 30th March 2016, 7-9pm

Fiona McBain from Zero Waste Highland Perthshire will be there too, to answer all your questions and let you know about more ZERO WASTE Pitlochry events coming this summer.
