Description
THREE hour workshop for one person
Come and spend some time in the Roobedo workshop making a lovely summer top.
You will learn how to use a pattern, adjust to
fit and then lay up, mark and cut a garment, ready to sew. Focusing on the simplicity of French seams and binding, you’ll make up this top to a professional standard ready to wear and can take a copy of your pattern away to make another in your own time. The construction skills you learn can be used again and again for different projects.
Book a time slot to suit you – contact ruth@roobedo.com 07814704256
You will use salvaged materials, upcycled linen and cotton – depending on availability. Perfect for beginners and intermediate level sewers. Also suitable for kids who are interested age 12+ (please ask for more details before booking for minors).
No materials needed (unless you think you have a fabric you might like to incorporate into your design) but a sewing kit (with sharp scissors) and your own sewing machine would be a good idea if you have one – there’s nothing like having the opportunity to use your very own machine. Ruth can give you advice on how to clean it and keep it in tip top condition too – as she has a certificate in repairing and servicing sewing machines.
There will be tea, coffee and biscuits available.
Please note: All Roobedo sewing projects are original designs & ideas created and owned by Roobedo and are shared for fun and personal use only. Please do not sell any of the things you make on a Roobedo course, and with respect, please do not use Ruth’s patterns/ideas for commercial gain.
