Saturday 17th September 11am-5pm
Moulin Hall, Pitlochry. PH16 5EW
Want to try your hand at sewing or get back into it after a long break?
Dust off that sewing machine and come along to this sewing day.
You will learn how to thread the machine, wind a bobbin, change a needle, sew simple seams and use the different settings / feet on your machine. You will sew a sampler to see what your machine is really capable of and then you can choose from a selection of little projects to make using salvaged/scrap fabrics such as a spinner/hanging, a lavender filled keyring, button bracelets or a lined zip-up purse to take away at the end of the day. Suitable for all levels of sewers.
Maximum 6 people – plenty of room in a roomy village hall.
Date: Saturday 17th September
Time: 11.00 – 5.00pm
Venue: The Moulin Hall, behind the Moulin Kirk, Kirkmichael Road, Pitlochry. PH16 5EW
Access: All on ground floor, free parking directly outside
Lunch: Bring a pack lunch. There will be tea, coffee and biscuits available all day.
No materials needed (unless you think you have a fabric you might like to incorporate into your design) but a sewing kit (with sharp scissors) and your own sewing machine if you have one – there’s nothing like having the opportunity to use your very own machine. Ruth can give you advice on how to clean it and keep it in tip top condition too – as she has a certificate in repairing and servicing sewing machines. If you don’t have a sewing machine, you can rent one for the day for £10 fee. See options in booking.
Workshop Cancellations, Changes, and Refunds
Should you wish to cancel or make any changes to your workshop booking then please phone Ruth on 0781 470 4256 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
You may cancel with a full refund five or more working days before the course or workshop start date. For cancellations made five or fewer working days before the event, no refund or changes to a booking can be made.
I may be able to offer you a place on an equivalent course or workshop instead of a refund if we are notified up to five working days before the course or workshop start date, and if there is availability.
In the unlikely event that a workshop is cancelled, Ruth will offer you the choice to transfer your space to the next available workshop, a workshop of your choosing, or offer you a full refund. You will be informed of cancellations at least three days before the event.
