There is quite a story to this coat. It is made from off cuts of Harris tweed, remnants if you like, left after making Harris tweed dressing gowns and other articles for customers. Probably it is from 3 dressing gown orders, over the last year or so. I keep every scrap when cutting garments, so it’s kind of a zerowaste piece at heart, the tweed carefully stored until the day there is enough for it to emerge as another beautiful tweed creation. This is why there is a limit to availability. As I gather enough tweed, I can make more. I have enough soot Harris tweed, and this one will be ready soon. I have one of my own in charcoal that I wore all of last winter, and it even had an outing one very rainy and cold July day this summer!
