Make a shirt-dress with Roobedo

The Climate Cafe in Birnam has asked me to run another class!
This time I have designed a 6 week course to take you through the steps to make your very own shirt dress.
Learn how to adapt a shirt dress pattern to your own measurements on paper, then cut your own shirt dress from fabric.  You will then be guided on construction and will use of an overlocker to neaten all edges.  Skill focus will be on button stand (holes and button-sew), forming a one-piece collar, seam types and finishing off hems, belt, pockets etc.
A little previous sewing experience would be useful to enjoy this course to the full – bring your own sewing machine if you have one, basic sewing kit and a piece of fabric approx 2m in length.  In keeping with the re-use and recycle ethos of the Climate cafe, its best to use nothing too precious – perhaps start off using up a remnant of cotton you’ve had for ages in your cupboard or even an old sheet.
