Ruth has been running evening classes with the Pitlochry AEA for over 6 years, and she has been teaching sewing for over 20 years. The theme of her Pitlochry classes is all about re-using and recycling fabrics to create beautifully made items. She provides manageable bite-size projects that enable you to get creative, learn the basics of sewing, master your sewing machine and be introduced to new sewing techniques and learn new skills. There is also an opportunity to share ideas and methods. Suitable for all levels of sewing, from complete beginner to the competent sewer who wants to work among a group of like-minded creative people.
Projects included in Ruth’s courses over the years have included making ties, mittens, purses, bags, skirts, tunics, cushions, lavender bags, rice filled handwarmers, bunting and strings of hearts, covered books, hot water bottle covers, tote bags, hobo bags, PJ’s etc.
